About

Appearance. Amblyseius cucumeris are generally beige in colour and less than 1mm in length. In spite of its modest appearance, it is still quite conspicuous because of its mobility on the underside of leaves or in the flowers. These mites crawl around on the leaves and within the flower buds looking for Thrips larvae and hatching eggs; it usually tackles the smaller, newly hatched Thrips larvae but have also been known to tackle larvae bigger than themselves. Introduction. Shake and turn the container gently then while turning sprinkle the material on the leaves/crop canopy. Best results are realized when AMBLYTECH® is applied before the Thrips population gets out of hand. Mode of Action. Adult predatory mites search actively for their prey and suck it dry. Environmental Conditions. Relative humidity should be above 70% and the temperatures above 200 C during the day. Rates It is recommended to apply 50-300 mites per m2 or 500 thousand to 3 million mites per hectare at a frequency of one application every 1-2 weeks depending on the pest pressure. Storage. Apply on the day of receipt, transport and store at temperatures of between 12-160 C in the dark.
